Tips And Tricks: How To Remove Liquids From A Patchwork Cowhide Rug

We often get asked about the cleaning process of our patchwork cowhide rugs.

They do indeed look very delicate and pure, but truth is, they are extremely durable, rustic and can take on almost anything.

See on the video below, for example, what happens when your clumsy best friend gets overly excited while drinking and texting:

Ever seen an easier-to-clean, no-stain rug? No joke, leather area rugs are the bomb!

  1. Don’t despair
  2. Vacuum the liquids softly and patiently (this can be done with a hand vacuum machine or your everyday vacuum cleaner). This step shouldn’t take more than a couple of seconds
  3. Using a dry cloth or paper towel, wipe the rug delicately in the direction of the hair just to get all the liquid particles that could have been left trapped under the hair
  4. You are done!

See how easy that was? No fuzz at all. Let the hair dry completely. In humid places, you can always help the hair dry faster with a blow dryer.

The important step here is NOT to leave the rug wet or damp, as it could ruin the hair in time.

Easy. Simple. Fast.
